Public Works – Public Works Supervisor, Aaron Lucero, presented council with estimates for skid steer machine with a 5 year payment plan at a cost of $35-65,000 depending on the type with warranty. Possible trade in value of the New Holland tractor approximately $15,000. No action taken. Mary Taufer asked if the garage roof has been fixed because new tools were to be purchased and wanted to make sure they were contained and dry.
Motion Chery Amodei-Mascara, second Mary Taufer, to re-affirm authorization for Tennis Roofing to put on a new roof on the garage not to exceed $5500.00. Motion passed
Police Department Mayor Gomber – No problems with the police department. Police will be checking for speeding on Beau Street and making sure parking is on the right side of the street.

Motion Tamara Chacko, second Mary Taufer, to authorize Solicitor Makel to amend Ordinance No. 456 Chapter 166 Dwelling Unit Occupancy to include language regarding installation of a fire suppression unit, proper fire escapes, heating and plumbing inspections, by the code enforcement officer for the welfare of all residents of East Washington Borough. Motion passed.
Motion Cheryl Amodei-Mascara, second Charles McHugh to also include language amending Ordinance No. 456, Chapter 166 Dwelling Unit Occupancy, and the rental unit is to be converted back to a single family home upon the sale of property. Motion passed.
Motion Mary Taufer, second Tamara Chacko to hire Cheryl Amodei-Mascara as the part-time Code Enforcement Officer for East Washington Borough at an hourly salary of $20.00 per hour. Motion passed.
