- Jeff Bull asked Council why they are buying a car that is not a police car. It has a glass roof. How much is the insurance? Electric cars are not designed as police cars. The car puts police officers in danger. Who will be responsible for them in the event of an accident?
- Richard FitzHarris 105 North Wade. Mr. FitzHarris is concerned about safety in the borough and code enforcement of the ordinances. There are grants available and he would like Council to consider creating a subcommittee to address Safety, Code compliance, and Grants. He is willing to assist the borough with grants.
- Chris Interval 25 Sheraton Drive said she submitted Right to Know requests and will be appealing the decisions. She said 400 E. Beau is not in compliance. She has researched the property at 616 Lemoyne Ave, and it is registered as an Oxford House. Wants support from the council/borough to determine if this home is following the ordinances. Did owner apply for a rental license?
- Harry Sanders 624 Lemoyne Ave Ext. reported that people are parking in the front yard at 616 Lemoyne Ave. Ext. and that is in violation of the borough ordinance.

- Park/Playground Project – Discussion and/or approve a resolution for park/playground project out for bids. – Details of bids being prepared by the engineer in the meantime Sarah Boyce, Engineer, Harshman Group, LLC gave a power point presentation for the park / playground improvement project. Mr. Rob Phillips, Washington County Redevelopment Authority, explained to council the procedure and requirements of the Community Development Block Grant that has been awarded to East Washington Borough. Mr. Dan Bird made a motion, seconded by Doug Corwin to authorize 2 separate bids for the Park / Playground Improvement Project as follows:
- $40,000 CBDG Grant – Bid and advertisement for the ADA compliance walkway and parking area. (to be prepared by Mr. Rob Phillips)
- $75,000 Greenways Trail Grant Bid and advertisement for Playground equipment, new swings, etc. correct water drainage issue, and/or alternate surface material for under playground equipment.(to be prepared by -Ms. Sarah Boyce, Engineer, Harshman Group, LLC). – Motion passed
- New Policies – Discussion and/or Approval of policies
- Council discussed the Policy – Reimbursement for Tree Removal. Vice President Kent James made a motion, second made by Michael McCormick to approve the policy amending the policy amount from $1 to $1,999 and place it on the website. After further discussion, Mr. Kent James made a motion, seconded by Michael McCormick to withdraw the motion pending further discussion at the next meeting. – Motion passed.
- Policy: Disposing of items valued less than $2,000. Discuss at the next meeting.
- Real Estate Tax penalty waiver – Joe Fulton made a motion, second by Michael McCormick to deny Michael Robinson’s request for a Real Estate Tax penalty waiver. – Motion passed. Notification to be sent to Mr. Michael Robinson.
- Executive Session – President Weinstein announced Council would be going into an Executive Session for personnel related to employees at 8:05 pm. Out of Executive Session 8:55 pm. No action taken.
