On Thursday, September 1, 2022, Councilman Demond Nixon was appointed by Borough Council to fulfill the late Matthew Boice’s remaining Mayoral term. Mr. Nixon will be sworn in as the Mayor of East Washington on September 8, 2022. Borough Council will be appointing a person to replace Demond’s Council seat.
