East Washington Borough Council voted at the meeting on February 1 to contract with Republic  Services (our trash collector) to provide enhanced trash collection in the Borough beginning in April.  The enhanced services are the special collection of electronic and hazardous household waste.  Republic will be notifying customers about the process for collecting this type of material in the near future. Starting April 1 customers will notice a $1.35 monthly increase in their bills.
