The Pennsylvania Resource Council is holding three collection events this summer for hard-to-recycle items. This includes televisions, computer monitors, printers, fluorescent tubes, small Freon appliances, and tires (with and without rims). A fee is required for these items.
Items that can be dropped off for free include cell/home phones, computer towers and peripheral equipment (keyboards, laptops, mice, etc.), expanded polystyrene packaging material, glass bottles/jugs/jars, microwave ovens and video game consoles/DVD players.
To streamline the process at our events, we’re asking participants to wear face coverings, pay by credit/debit cards if possible and stay in their vehicles while the contractor unloads the materials,” says Sarah Shea, PRC Collection Events Manager. “When preparing to attend one of these collections, participants should place all hard-to-recycle materials in their car trunks or truck beds
