Located on the border of East Washington and the City of Washington is the beautiful, spacious Washington Park. This magnificent landscape offers plenty of family friendly activities for parents and children of all ages. Just some of the many activities offered include a multitude of spacious pavilions, swings, playgrounds, regulation tennis courts, and the two most widely recognized attractions… the Washington Park Pool and the PONY League World Series.
The Washington Park Pool has just completed a major renovation spanning many months of careful planning and diligent work. The pool features multiple diving boards, gigantic 50 meter lanes for swim meets and other competitions, a spiral slide, and a kiddie pool for those kids who aren’t ready to brave the water just yet. The Washington Park Pool also houses a spacious changing facility, a tasty concession stand, and beautiful landscaping to lay out and catch some sun. If you forget your beach chair, don’t worry! There are plenty of chairs available to you on the beautifully manicured grounds. If you are interested in stopping by this modern marvel, feel free to call the Park Office and ask any questions you may have. Detailed information as to pool hours, season passes, or daily rates; or if you would like to schedule a pool party, can all be obtained by calling the Washington Park Office at 724-228-2812. We hope you’ll check it out and enjoy!
Maybe you don’t feel up for a swim. Maybe you’d prefer to watch some championship baseball by kids who actually enjoy playing baseball and not because they’re getting paid millions of dollars. Nope, its not the major leagues, its Little League baseball. Washington Park is the home to multiple baseball and softball fields for so many age groups we cant even count! If your child is involved in Shetland, Pinto, Mustang, Bronco, Pony, or Colt League, then we’ll see you at Washington Park. If you’re around for the first two weeks in August, why not stop by for the PONY League World Series? The PONY League World Series is held here at Lew Hays PONY Field in Washington Park! If you can make it, be sure to stop by and watch the best of the best compete for the PONY League World Series title.
