Washington & Jefferson College

Washington School District
Washington School District provides a public education for the children of East Washington Borough at Washington Park Elementary / Middle School, and Washington High School. (http://www.washington.k12.pa.us). Included at the elementary building are the primary school (K-3) and the intermediate school (4-6). Middle school includes grades 7-8, while Washington High School is home to grades 9-12.
Affiliated with the Washington School District is Intermediate Unit 1, a public educational service agency dedicated to providing quality leadership and services to the schools and communities of Washington, Greene and Fayette, counties to assure their success as they prepare all learners to meet the challenges of an information society.
Western Area Career & Technology
Western Area Career & Technology, a program of IU 1, provides quality educational experiences to enable students to develop and expand technical and academic skills to meet the demands of the workforce.
East Washington Borough is also a participating member of Citizens Library and District Center in the City of Washington. East Washington has a seat on the library board and financially supports the library. East Washington residents have the highest number visits per capita to the library of any area municipality.
