Looking for Volunteers for Earth Day Neighborhood Clean Up Day 2023

When: Saturday, April 22, 2023 – 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Where: East Washington Borough Public Works salt lot

In honor of Earth Day, East Washington and the Parks and Shade committee are organizing a neighborhood and stream clean-up effort to remove trash and debris from the stream and our neighborhood streets. This includes cleaning up leaves and weeds at Nicholas Cumer Park, Memorial Park, and around the Borough sign.

We are looking for volunteers to join us on Saturday, April 22, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM meeting at the Borough Public Works salt lot access from East Beau Street. The Borough will provide volunteers with gloves, vests, and garbage bags.

Volunteer work may require hiking through the wooded areas and we recommend waterproof boots. A waiver signed on the morning of the event will be required to participate.
