The Borough of East Washington would like to recognize Borough resident Chuck McHugh (10 Wilmont Avenue) for winning the annual Martha Washington Garden Club award. Each year the Garden Club chooses a home for their dedication to observing plantings, arrangements, maintenance, and upkeep for unusual and unique garden designs in the area.

Founded in 1934, the Martha Washington Garden Club club consists of members dedicated to gardening, education in gardening, and the recognition of outstanding gardens in Washington, Pennsylvania. The Lovely Landscape Committee meets once a year to review various garden’s from the street. Mr. McHugh’s home on 10 Wilmont Avenue was chosen. On October 19, 2021, Chuck’s home and garden will be acknowledged at the Garden Club meeting.
