Last night, East Washington Borough Council accepted with regret the resignation of Mayor Michael Gomber. Mr. Gomber has served the Borough as Mayor for the past seven years and we wish to thank him for his service to the Borough.

Following the acceptance of Resolution 007 of 2021 the Resignation of Michael Gomber, Councilman Demond Nixon was appointed unanimously by Council as the new Mayor of East Washington and will fulfill Mayor Gomber’s remaining term that expires on the first Monday of January 2022.

Council thanks Michael Gomber for his service to the Borough and wish him and his family well.
