On Thursday, September 22nd, Council appointed East Washington resident Mumbi Mundia to fill the vacant seat on Borough Council. Mumbi will fulfill Demond Nixon’s remaining term that expires on the first Monday of January 2024. Mr. Nixon resigned his seat following his appointment as Mayor. Ms. Mundia was sworn in Friday, September 23rd.
