The Borough of East Washington now provides residents with a more convenient location to recycle glass. The glass dumpster is available at the Public Works Salt lot off of East Beau Street from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Saturday. East Washington residents may place the recyclable glass into the designated totes located in front of the dumpster.

The map below illustrates where the dumpster is located, and the best way to access it.

Please observe the following rules to ensure the Borough is compliant:

• Glass containers must be rinsed of any perishable debris before being recycled.
• Adhesive labels do not need to be removed from the glass before being recycled.
• Plastic, cork, and bi-metal container lids must be removed before glass being recycled.
• Glass products such as mirrors, porcelain dishware, and light bulbs WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
• Materials such as plastic, cardboard, and metal(s) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
• Please be mindful of the residents who live near the lot and only drop off the glass during designated hours.
