UPDATE!!!!
Within one hour of posting all of the books added to the wishlist below were purchased. Greta will be adding more soon.
The Park Committee is excited to announce the opening of the Nicholas Cumer Little Library, a wonderful addition to the Borough. The library is aimed at promoting the joy of reading and expanding book access to everybody. Located at the entrance to Nicholas Cumer Park the Park visitors are encouraged to take or share a book.
The library will be managed by the Park Committee and Borough resident Greta who is working to achieve her Girl Scout Silver Award, one of the highest awards in Girl Scouting. An avid reader Greta’s goal is to make a difference in the Borough and expand book access and share in the love of reading of all books. For the next year, Greta will be maintaining the library, collecting books, and updating the library each week. Here is a message regarding the library:
“Hello, my name is Greta and I am a Girl Scout in Troop 53563 working on my Silver Award, and will be managing the Little Library in front of Nicholas Cumer Park. It would be great if you could donate some books to help it out. I created and will maintain an Amazon wish list of wanted books that you are welcome to purchase or contact me and I will pick them up. If you decide to purchase the books they will be mailed to the Borough Building.
Those are only some of the books, it would be great if you could donate any book but those books are just some of the specific ones I am looking for. I would love it if you could help out as much as you can because it would mean so much to me. :)”
We hope residents enjoy the library and if you have a donation of books Greta would be happy to pick them up. To reach out with a donation you can Contact Greta
