Special Council Meeting November 16, 2015 – 7:00 pm
Call to Order President Guy Tucci called meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

Pledge of Allegiance Lead by President, Guy Tucci
President Guy Tucci addressed the members of the Boards and Commissions explaining that Amy Wiles, Mackin Engineering was going to present an explanation of the current proposed draft of the Washington-East Washington Joint zoning ordinance.
Ms Wiles showed the members via maps and where the proposed zoning districts are located. In addition, the language and definitions of the proposed uses for each district. Zoning dictates the uses of property.
Ms. Wiles explained that the current zoning in East Washington does not allow for all uses.
As stated by Ms. Wiles, council dictates the zoning. Proposed were two largest areas in the comprehensive plan Medical and Educational.
President Tucci asked when and how the joint ordinance meetings were conducted. Ms. Wiles said that previous East Washington Council appointed Planning commission members to be part of the committee to evaluate and review the proposed ordinance.
David Posner and Kent James asked questions regarding the language in the educational district.
