On Thursday, September 8th Councilman Demond Nixon was sworn in as the Mayor of East Washington. The swearing-in ceremony was witnessed by Council member Joseph Fulton and Borough Secretary Alyssa Curry-Broderick. Council appointed Mr. Nixon following the death of Mayor Matthew Boice.
