We want to thank Sandy Motichak for her eight years as the Borough Secretary / Treasurer. Today was her official last day as she retires. To celebrate Sandy’s family, Council members, the Mayor, Solicitor Dennis Makel, and Aaron from public works had a small gathering this afternoon to wish her well.
To express our appreciation a proclamation was written to honor her for her work.
PROCLAMATION
A PROCLAMATION FROM THE BOROUGH OF EAST WASHINGTON TO EXPRESS OUR APPRECIATION TO SANDRA MOTICHAK AND TO HONOR HER FOR HER DISTINGUISHED CAREER WITH THE BOROUGH
WHEREAS, Sandra was appointed Secretary/TreasurerII on April 7, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Sandra’s primary duties included clerical/secretarial functions, accounting & bookkeeping, and attending monthly council meetings to take minutes; and
WHEREAS, Sandra has always supported the Borough of East Washington and has served the Borough well; and
WHEREAS, on behalf of the entire Borough, I want to express my sincere appreciation to Sandra for her service to the Borough these 8 years and wish her much happiness as she begins this exciting new chapter in her life.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor Matthew Boice, on behalf of the Council, Residents, and Employees of the Borough of East Washington, do hereby issue this Proclamation to Sandra Motichak in recognition of her many achievements, and we extend our gratitude and appreciation to for her many years of exemplary service as Secretary and Treasurer.
We encourage all residents to join in congratulating Sandra on an outstanding career with the Borough of East Washington and expressing our sincere appreciation to her for her unwavering dedication and service to the Borough of East Washington. We wish her many years of happiness and good health.
This proclamation is issued on the 5th day of August in the year 2022 by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of East Washington.
